Limited account, funds all gone

I have 2 paypal accounts, one personal and another for business, both of which have been permanently limited by Paypal in May for reasons unkonwn to me. They said my funds would be held for 180 days. I'm expecting the funds to be released this November but when I checked both accounts, all funds are already lost. I didn't receive any email on how to withdraw my held funds and now it's all gone.

Any way to get it back?

I've been trying to call them since May but their phone lines are not available. This is such a ridiculous way to do business.

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal holds any funds for 180 days as that is the same time frame that buyers have to open paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened against you in 180 days then 'normally' you are allowed to withdraw the funds as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

Your best bet is to wait until the phones are back up and running and then phone customer services so that you can speak to an agent.
Then they can help advise on how you can withdraw the funds if and when you are allowed to do so. OR ........

Live chat is randomly available.
You can send them a message.
Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I didn't get any message about my funds or how to withdraw it even if it's past 180 days. I'm no longer hoping to get my accounts back, just my funds. I don't think it's normal that it's now both $0 without any communication with me. It's plain and simple that they stole it because there's been no violation on my part.

I did try their facebook account and hopefully they'd be able to shed some light on this. All I got was canned responses so far.
