Limitations

Shameless company , with no morals , were on lock down and spending day after day trying to contact somebody at Paypal regarding there unjustified account limitation.

Spent months building a website and getting good reviews on Ebay to wake up 3 weeks ago to suddenly find my account limited, reason given because I reached a certain level of transactions they need verification of my business details.

All other reputable companies that I know of would notify you that they were going to be requesting the information and could it be provided by such n such a date ??.

The info was sent ID , LOA , Company Registration Docs etc etc, I received an email stating the limitation had been lifted, Log into my account to find the only form of identification they have bothered to verify after having all the info for over two weeks was my photo id and the limitations were still in place.

After days sat in front of the computer waiting for a response from there automated messaging service ( 6 hours on one occasion) I finally managed to speak to somebody and they told me it was due to items not being delivered ??.

I then spent days breaking down every transaction with id name status and tracking link to show every product I have sold was dispatched on time and sent fully tracked.

There even have funds on hold from a sale that was sent tracked and delivered 01/05/2020.

Since then I have not been able to speak to anyone or get an email response from Paypal.

I just my funds out of this account and I will forget Feebay and use an alternative Payment gateway for my website.

Yes I might loose a few sales not having the Paypal name on my checkout, but whats the point in getting a sale with them when you have to spend weeks struggling to get your Money.

STAY AWAY THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES
And if i now have to join the ranks of the many struggling to get Paypal to small claims then so be it.

Can’t agree more, absolutely disgusting people I mean my account was limited and I sent all the information in ASAP (the same day) 2 weeks later nothing I tried calling them only to be met with a response saying I can’t be transferred due to the virus but when I call the PayPal credit number (where they make money) that call gets sent through just fine, my shock when it comes to them making money Coronavirus doesn’t seem to matter Horrible customer service probably the worst I’ve ever seen, I waiting for managed payments to happen on eBay so I can finally be done with this rubbish company Good luck to anyone reading this and is having a similar issue might be faster to just ask god to remove the limitation rather than PayPal

YES! I will be a part of class action suit with anyone who wants to go after PayPal. They are holding our money hostage - Ebay told me they even want to get away from PayPal.  Please contact me if you file a lawsuit!

Has anyone found a solution? We've set up a new business account to link to our new online platform, but keep recieving errors on linking to the third party merchant/app. Was told by message help that there were limitations and to go to the Resolution Centre to resolve them. We responded saying that the page did not have any limitation alerts and we are stuck. They responded with the same advice and to upload documents (not stipulating what documents, let alone information as how to do this). PayPal customer services are awful, when you finally get to engage in a live conversation with an advisor they ignore you once they've repeated the same information and no resolution, even prompt that they are transferring the chat to a specialist, but then disappear. We require PayPal to use our merchant and is the only way we can trade during the pandemic, and are now losing critical trade

All this talk of class action suits is pointless as you can no longer do that.

If you are rich enough to take on all paypals lawyers + there legally agreed user agreement yourself then of course you can still do that.

However an earlier poster on another thread did see a lawyer who said they wouldn't touch it as no chance of winning as paypal are allowed to do as they say in that user agreement.

I have been hung up on too many times. (disconnected??) It is easier to get ahold of eBay or Amazon.

I did not even get a notification that there was and issue w/limitations which I do not even know what that is because they say I submitted info already and did not. No way of getting a hold of these folks. But they sure email me a bunch of crap that I do not want to know. And no I do not want to expand My business with a loan.

I am done with them. Moving on.

It may inconvenient but at least I might get some work done finally and also I won't be getting all those annoying unsolicited "What to borrow money" letters in the mail  email.  NO... I do not.

I also had the same problem. Since on lock down  I have spent months to make our website ready and have started to collect only 2 payments then it had a limitation. I tried to resolve it by submitting LOA and filled in all correct information for our beneficial owners, but the website just didn't accept them. I didn't know what information they hold in their site, because the website said the information mismatch.  I also tried to contact the Paypal customer services but never get hold of any of them. I think they are declining down their services now with no moral and no mercy. STAY AWAY possibly is the best solution. Can anyone shed any lights for any alternatives please?

I believe a similar problem happend to me. 180 days went by after my account was limited with no complaints from customers and paypal worked on my website fine til it didn't. No reason why just limited. 2100$ from happy customers is gone now, without even a email after 180 days about anything. I've had an account with them through ebay and website for over 10-15 years. I talked to upper management at beggining of covid and they said sorry but no reason or anything can be done. Not even close the account and transfer money after 180 days, it's all gone.
