Item not received!

I have ordered an expensive Christmas present from what looked like a reputable UK site, but nothing has arrived & in FB others have commented that they never received their items from said website. Have looked at seller details through PayPal & turns out it is a Chinese seller. Have opened a dispute, but haven’t heard anything back from seller. Do you normally get your money back when you escalate dispute or am I wasting my time? Thanks 🤯

Chinese Web Sites or on Facebook easy to spot so buyer beware.

1. No return address on the returns policy............thats because the site will look as if its in your country (where they despatch goods from) BUT they will ask for returns to go back to China (returns depot) at a shipping cost nearly always more than the item is worth.
2. No contact telephone number............if you click on contact the most you will get is webmail or an email address.
3. No company address information.
4. Great looking items at bargain prices that turn out to be tat.

Chinese firms are clever, as soon as you open a dispute for non receipt they despatch the tat item and provide a tracking number so the dispute is closed.
Then when you get the tat you can't re-open that dispute or a second one so you may lose out.

Hopefully your seller does not do that but if they do then if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then try a chargeback.
