Item not as described

Hi guys

I bought on ebay an item that subsequently has been proved not to be genuine.

I suspected as much earlier and submitted a dispute to pay pal.  They in their wisdom agreed with the seller as my complaint was out of time.

The item has now been examined by the manufacturer and has been confirmed as a fake.

The seller on ebay has now disappeared.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed.

Can you confirm you opened an Ebay dispute OR a Paypal dispute, only with the latter you have up to 180 days to open a dispute.
