Inability To Contact PayPal When Asked By CEO "HOW CAN WE HELP"

Below is an email sent to PayPal regarding a longstanding issue regarding the random dismissal of PayPal accounts from Program Owners resulting in their inability to pay their members.

Because PayPal limits the number of words one can send to them, it is posted here.  If it be sent to a responsible entity within PayPal by someone here it will be much appreciated.  If not, I imagine it will have to be posted anywhere and everywhere until a proper, non-scripted response can be given.

Sir/ Madame,

It is an important and encouraging message sent to PayPal members by President and CEO, Dan Schulman recently, (How can we help?). Unfortunately, you continue to deny many of your members the necessary funding of their accounts, by randomly terminating website owners from paying these members, of which I am of many thousands

For many years I have been a PayPal user, having no access to a credit card.  Now I do have Visa but continue to use PayPal to avoid disclosing my credit card information.

I have, for some years, been a member of and earning money from many of the programs offered by the following individual:

Martha <removed>

Shipping address
    Martha <removed>

EMAIL:

As a consequence of your unilaterally terminating her PayPal account, based on the hypothetical accusation of her programs being somehow based on a MLM or Ponzi scheme, she has been forced to seek other ways to pay her members who number in the thousand. Many of these members used PayPal and purchased from PayPal Merchants.  A number have since started their own online endeavors and may or may not use PayPal, given your actions taken against Ms. <removed>.

As for the programs in which Martha <removed> operates, as a long time member, I can attest to the fact that these programs are neither MLM programs nor any kind of scheme which your actions against here seem to allude to.

In short, these programs are AFFILIATE MARKETING wherein we, as members, receive commissions to grow our number base as we offer ONLINE ADVERTISING.  There are also rules we must follow: no gambling sites, no cigarette or liquor, no pornographic material.  It is in her TOS and enforced. She has paid all of her members on time in respecting our owner-members relationship.

Because you have acted to suspend her PayPal account, and having to resort to other modes of payment, we next went to PAYZA where we lost  our money, in my case 108.84US, as they were a money-laundering operation.

Next came TranferWise where she was unable to find a way to pay me given their convoluted procedures regarding payment protocol.

Now I read the email from your CEO, in a difficult time of brick and mortar shop closures, asking how can you help?

You can help me and thousands of others by reinstating her PayPal account OR providing a legal definition as to what infractions Ms. <removed> has caused her to be blocked from using your services.

It is ironic that a an online Sex Shop, namely <removed> is using your services, not even asking for age verification.  BTW they have some great toys, but by chance, I am over 18 in fact 64.

To the point, do not bother sending me one of your signature automated responses.  They do not address the specificity of the issue at hand.

Rather, take a moment to review her case from an empirical, not random, point of view.  I am sure your consequent actions will define why you stand well respected in the online community.

If the situation continues, my PayPal paltry sum of $127.05 USD means little to me.  Block me too for complaining.  Some issues regarding "doing the right thing" circumvent monetary issues.

Although my words are terse, it is to be expected that many companies, as they grow, do not look so much to the factors which gave them growth. Show me you still look at the petite guy.

With Respect,

Vasilios <removed>

I’m really surprised that PayPal is allowing an adult company to use their services. I was an adult webmaster when PayPal stopped processing for the industry. I had a merchant account so didn’t suffer but thousands of websites lost their processing and went to a different company that folded in the last decade. One webmaster I know lost over $100,000 in that fiasco.

Other websites are adult and use PayPal though they are supposedly reported.

Thanks for your input.  It seems that PayPal acts in a random fashion in deciding who is to be bestowed the honor of their services.  Yes, it's an online sex shop accepting PayPal based in Ontario, Canada and I paid through them.

At the same time, the program owner mentioned in my email to them, has done nothing to break any of their TOS, and after years spent in her various programs I can attest to that.

Personally, I like that they offer PayPal as an option for sex shops as I am too shy to buy in person.

And then there is marijuana which I haven't ordered yet as I still have too much traditional ouzo and various wines:

Thanks again for your input and be safe
