I need help with a dispute

I opened a dispute (haven't received an item after 2 weeks) without trying to contact the seller first which was my fault. Now all of their payments are pending and their store can't function properly. I would love to cancel it and wait a couple more weeks, however, if I do would I be able to open another one if my item doesn't come at all? Thank you!

NEVER close a dispute / claim until you have a refund.
If the seller issued a refund then that would close the dispute automatically.
If he doesn't escalate to a claim.
Do not close it or he can ignore you and you can't open a second dispute OR re-open a closed one.
