I may have been cheated!

Bought a sofa cover online for $64 on 2nd Feb. Did not receive a transaction number for 2 weeks until I made a case through PayPal. Seller replied that item has been stuck in its order, so there was a delay. Eventually gave a tracking number. Traced item’s tracking number on local post handler, stated that item has arrived at distribution center. Later checked that it has been delivered. However, item parcel has not been received by me. Went to the post office and they can’t do much as item’s status was that it has been “delivered”. Made a call to the post office service hotline and discovered that the tracking number was traced to another receiver and delivery address. Was advised to check back with Seller. I strongly believe that the Seller has given a random used tracking number to inform Paypal that the item is on its way and that I have no case for them to pursue. Payment has also been made. Yet, I have not received my items. Anyone with similar experience or have dealt with something similar, please advise.

Hi Sofhian, Welcome to community forum. Im sorry to hear that you still did not received the item. If the merchant send it to a different address, we need to have a proof that it was delivered to the wrong address. However Im unable to access your account due to security reason. Please log in to your paypal account and send us an email so that we can access your account and give you the best option about this case. Thank you.

To submit an appeal on the dispute that was closed, PayPal asks that you obtain a detailed report from the shipper (on their letterhead or some other form of official stationary) that includes the address the seller gave them for the shipment or that includes a statement mentioning your address and saying the item was delivered to a different address.

When you have that, contact PayPal via phone (log on to your account and click Contact at the bottom of the page), via Facebook (send a Private Message to PayPal) or via Twitter (send a Direct Message to @AskPayPal) and say you want to appeal the denial of the dispute based on the shipper saying the item was delivered to a different address. Once it's submitted (you will be provided with directions on how to do that), the dispute will be reviewed further and a determination will be made.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
