I received a message from PayPal resolution center stating that my account has been completely canceled I can still go on to my account see my balance but I can't send money receive money and I can't transfer my funds to my bank card do I really have to wait 180 days? the reason my account was frozen or had the limitations in the first place was because I had a big transaction sent to me and I had only had my account for very little time only three other very small payments on my account. what can I do to speed up this process or speak to somebody because when I call customer service they tell me that I can't talk to a live representative at this time and to wait for an email I've been waiting and nothing...

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal tends to hold any funds for 180 days. This is the same time frame that buyers have to open Paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

yes you do have to wait 180 days. My 180 days was up today but they took 160.00 out for damages cause by violating their terms. If you have Venmo watch out they will turn that off as well. Also anyone in your family or people you have a lot of transactions with they will do that to them as well. I have at least 5-10 they did this too on who we sent money back and forth to
