I am a foolish victim of fraud

Hello everyone, I am usually not foolish...but in my desire to find a ticket for a concert and have a wonderful trip i let myself act too naive and i was scamed ... I send to a woman 65 euro and she did not send me the electronic ticket. I have the conversation when she promises to send a pdf file in the same chat and in the chat one can see that this does not happen ans ahe blocked me when i figured for sure that she si a scam (i talked with another person who she wanted to sell it to while talking to me). My qusetion is: Is there a chance the chat to serve me as prove that she robbed me and somehow take my money back. Or just since this happens 3 hours ago, the money are not yet in her bank account and if i take action first think in the morning, to prevent the money enteeing her bank account? Thank you in advance and....i know i was foolish i will know bettee from now on

A friends / family (or gift payment) is intended as a transfer of funds from family or friends to one another. For this reason, there is no processing fee when payment is made with bank or PayPal balance.
However as it is a “gift” payment, there is also no Buyer protection as no goods or services should have been exchanged.

If he was not a close mate or family member you should never use that option as it enables the seller to evade his paypal fees and negates your buyer protection at the same time. That is also why you would be unable to open a dispute apart from an unauthorised transaction (if your account was hacked and used without your consent).

You also risk having your account limited for using this option when you are purchasing goods as its against Paypal rules.

Your only hope is if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then contact your card issuer and see if they will help you but unfortunately again as it was a 'gift' of money they may decline as well.

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. Since I havent had the need to use pay pal until now, i thought i have some protection in any case and acted unwisely. Ive learned my lesson now and at least the money is not so much. I will survive : )

Hello again, What about Paypal purchase protection that i wrote about? Doesnt it give me some protection or again the friend option ruins my chances?
