I just paid someone by Paypal for gig tickets. The person promptly disappeared from Messenger after payment was received. It wasn't a big payment - doesn't seem to be worth the scam. Are my details secure?
If you paid via an invoice / money request / send money > goods/services then you would have buyer protection and can open a dispute for non receipt of item etc.
If you paid via send money > friends/family then you sent someone a 'gift' of money and you have no buyer protection.
