How long will it take if i escalate the issued claim to paypal

I bought a subscription on an online service, it wasn't as i thought it would be so i decided to ask for a refund but the result was deactivating my subscription and never reaching to me so i'm thinking to escalate it to Paypal but they're saying it would take up to 30 days to resolve and this is clearly too long so my question is according to your experiences did it really take that 30 days or it's just some kind of a time limit
