How do I address the issue of a PayPal account Limitation when I have no idea why it's happening

Until very recently, I had no reason to believe there was anything wrong, suspicious, or at issue with my personal paypal account, which I've had for so long I don't even remember when I opened it but I know that it was over a decade ago.
A few weeks ago, my father transferred a not-insignificant amount from his paypal account to mine for the purposes of consolidating funds necessary for putting up first, last, and security at an apartment I was to move into. This transfer went through successfully with no apparent issue....until exactly 8 minutes after I received a confirmation email from paypal verifying the completion of the transfer.
At that point (remember...EIGHT MINUTUES LATER) I received another email from paypal informing me that my account had been frozen and that I - the account holder - was being frozen out - what they call an account "limitation", WITH ZERO EXPLANATION OR DETAILS GIVEN WHATSOEVER. Below is what I see now from my PC screen when I try accessing the account:

"Your account access is permanently limited
After a review, we've decided to permanently limit your account due to potential risk. You’ll not be able to conduct any further business using PayPal

You can't use PayPal anymore

At PayPal, we value a safe community for our customers to do business. We noticed activity in your account that’s inconsistent with our User Agreement and we no longer offer you PayPal services.

Any bank or credit card information linked to your PayPal account cannot be removed nor can it be used to create a new account. You can still log in and see your account information but you can’t send or receive money. Any money in your balance will be held for 180 days, after which we’ll send you an email with instructions about transferring your money."

At this point I've reach out to consumer/financial protections attorneys, the FTC, the Massachusetts state attorney general's office, and the CFPB but I'm just absolutely astounded at this entire situation and by the business conduct of PayPal in what is undeniably financial criminality in practice by PayPal themselves. Anyone care to comment/inform/enlighten/commiserate? Please feel free. Thanks.
