So a company I purchased something from a year ago decided to debt my account via Paypal without notifying me, I reported it to Paypal and they didnt even bother responding, I have just logged in to my account to chase it up and it says Paypal have decided the payment was authorised !!! how the hell do they know more about what I authorised than I do!!!!
Time to close my account

Sounds as if you had a subscription set up...
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments''.
