Just got told my account has been limited as they need to confirm my identity. This would not be a problem but the account is a family one and it is used by everyone. The name registered is mine but as mentioned, we all use it to buy/sell and since I’m 18 in like 2 weeks, I couldn’t have an account by myself yet! How do I go about confirming identity? If I send my siblings or something then it’s gonna say it’s not their account. All my savings are in this account so can’t afford for it to be closed. Thank you

No such thing as a family paypal account, a personal account belongs to x1 person only.

Not only are you using an illegally opened underage account but you are also breaking rules in allowing access by others to that account.

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.

PayPal asks for a birth date when you register so whilst you can make a PayPal account with false information the account will need to be verified to accept funds into your balance or lift any limits.

As you would be unable to verify your account it would be permanently locked for further use.
Minors can’t enter legal contracts so you may not have any recourse to get your money back until you were 18, unless customer services allow you to transfer the funds to a parents account, not guaranteed however.

You would never be able to use that illegally opened underage account again but once 18 Paypal may allow you to do a withdrawal of funds from that account.

OR they may allow you to open a new account and transfer the funds across for you. The latter option is not guaranteed as you have already broken their rules once but you should get one of those options.

The account is registered to an adult. The nickname is mine. I don’t own the account so I haven’t broken any rules, it’s just the PayPal balance is used by me.
