Hello,
My husband and I own a timeshare in Florida. We weren't planning on using it this year, so sold one of the weeks.
We did all the payment via PayPal in 3 instalments, the last and largest of which was at the beginning of March.
Obviously as COVID-19 unfolded, they were no longer able to go. We emailed back and forth a lot, and I offered to move the week for them, or they could claim it on their travel insurance.
Meanwhile, they took out a PayPal claim via their credit card, and i woke up this morning to my account being 843 GBP in debt.
How is this fair? I've paid this money ages ago to our management agency (I made no profit on this at all), so am now totally out of pocket.
Also, I provided them with the 'service', did everything in my power to help them - and now I'm out of pocket in a time that is already financially challenging.
Anyone got any advice? Thank you!
