HELP! Buyer opened dispute on item and won’t return

I sold an IPhone 8 + to a gentleman that has now opened a dispute saying I didn’t ship it. I provided tracking info and he has received. Now he wants a refund but hasn’t shipped back. Will PayPal release the funds in my favor or his once the time frame has ran out to escalate the case? I am worried about being out my phone and them refunding him! Help please. I have called PayPal CS and they were no help at all!

How did you sell the item - did you send the buyer an invoice ?
