Getting scammed

I made a papal purchase for a Xbox which costed 265.00 and the China based company sent me a very cheap phone case. Now I asked for a refund but the seller wants me to ship the cheap phone case back with tracking. Post office wants $65.00 to ship it back. This is a scam and these China based companies are getting away with it. I don't think it's fair that the company sent me the wrong item and i have to pay the return shipping ($65.00) to get my initial $265.00 back. What do you think? This isn't buyer protection.

If you actually read paypals buyer protection then you will see that paypal are doing exactly what they say that they will do ie give you a full refund on return of the goods back to the seller.

They don't offer you an insurance policy or 100% guarantee protection of everything.

Personally I think they should get the loser of the dispute to send you a shipping label BUT that is not what they say in buyer protection.

In the event of a dispute you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you buy from that seller / item / country because....

Although they will compensate you for some of the cost if you have activated this at some point before you made that transaction.

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.
