Getting scammed when bought world of warcraft account

Hello all I made a dispute over resolution center to a scammer who I thought was a legit seller, here is my dispute -

I wanted to buy a world of warcraft account via epicnpc.com

I made this post - https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/1370723-WTB-fresh-DRUID-with-some-things-done-listed-in-thread?p=606...

then a guy later contacted me via discord, that he has an account which suits my needs

here is our full conversation via gyazo screenshots -

We agreed on terms, that he is going to send me the accounts credentials and also the gmail accounts credentials, which the world of warcraft account is linked to.

He gave me wrong account credentials at start to fool me, so he could later claim im scammer myself, changing the passwords, which I did NOT do.

He also gave me wrong gmail password, here he fell into his own trap, he had no clue when you change the gmails password, gmail will notify when the changes have been made, in my case, he gave me a password which was changed 35 days ago.

After that he gave me a totally wrong password which was never used.

Then he claimed via screenshot that the accounts password was changed, but he didnt provide a timestamp, then i called him out that he deliberately left the timestamp out, which he didnt respond. Instead he called me a "**bleep**ing scammer" and blocked me. The mail he showed me is probably the notification for the password change which he changed himself 35 days ago.

The dispute itself is longer than what I copied here, he has replied many times over, with very bad claims and screenshots and I´ve replied him back to debunk his claims, but my question is now, is there anyway possible to actually get a refund/cashback from this scammer? It says in the resolution centre that on 5th of October I´ll be able to escalate this to PayPal, does that mean someone from PayPal comes to review the case, or?

Big thanks in advance.

Well not going to read all of that.

Basically if you opened a dispute of non receipt of item you may win dependent on the proof the seller supplies.

If you filed for item received but not as described then you may not as its tricky to cite that for virtual transactions.

If you file a chargeback via your card issuer then you should win.

always a good idea to review buyer protection before proceeding to use PAYPAL.
