Having used paypal, for years, they suddenly decided to freeze my access with nearly £300 in, no money in, no money out. After phoning them the said I need to provide proof of identity. Ok, emailed, bank statements, home bill, address, birth certificate, and marriage certificate. Nope still not enough, they want PHOTO ID. Well considering they have never seen me it's a tad stupid. Anyhow I do not have a driver license, nor a passport, so how the hell am I supposed to magic up a photo. Oh I did send a copy of my buss pass, photo, and name on, NO that's not good enough. So 12 months later still no further on!Absolutely bloody ridiculous. I also can not get a passport atm due to covid, and it's going to cost me £90 when I do, for something I'll never need. I really wish there was another platform to pay from, however that doesn't help get MY hard earned £300 back.
