Fraudulent website BUYER PROTECTION

I have tried to reach customer service to no avail. Then I used the resolution center where they gave limited choices of what my problem was. I used a site which offered Paypal as a payment method. I paid the retailer $239 and change for two items. I checked the site later after noticing no communication from them to see that Paypal had completed the transaction. After several failed attempts to reach said VOOKEA company I called the number tonight. I got a lady who told me is was a fraud and they used her home telephone number and that she is re waiving a lot of calls. So I used resolution center hoping they would contact me. They did closing my case saying it wasn’t a fraudulent transaction! CASE CLOSED! What is the good in the BUYER PROTECTION THEY OFFER IF THEY DONT PROTECT ANYONE!? I want resolution on this matter!

Thank you for bringing this to us. To give you a fair share, you could appeal the case along with the information to support the claim. Please check this article for reference:
https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/can-i-appeal-paypal%E2%80%99s- decision-on-my-case-faq2050?app=searchAutoComplete

In the future, if you notice a transaction that you didn’t authorize, let us know right away in the Resolution Center:

Go to the Resolution Center.
Click Report a Problem.
Click the transaction you want to report and click Continue.
Select "I want to report a transaction that I didn't authorize."
Follow the steps to report the transaction.
I provided a link below to help you through the process:

Hope this will help you, stay safe now and God Bless!

Hi PayPal ,

It isn't rocket science if a company is offering a item made in one country but posting that same item from the other side of the world than the integrity of that company should come into question .I believe you have highly skilled employees in this area  of detecting have they thought of looking on the world postal map its colour coordinated and as a high amount of on line purchase requires postage this extra knowledge would aid your customers regarding refunds from scam companies.

cheers

I thought PayPal's buyer protection would protect me from scammers, but it is the other way around! A clearly fraudulent seller who has undoubtedly received tons of complaints was treated like an honest broker and I was left holding the bag. I had a terrible experience and so I decided to write about it. If you want to contribute your experience, please contact me through my website at christinemcondo.com/contact.php. This just happened to me with the same website... did you receive your refund? I’ve been being bounced around with reps all day with pay pal I did all my research and was scammed out of $159. I don’t know what else to do.

Gidday no I haven't received a refund this is a scam PayPal have the ability to end but they choose not too . Keep fighting  for a refund as I am  and good luck , but you may want to limit your use of PayPal as their buyer protection is conceptual at best . PayPal will lose out  long term as other systems have no problems with this style of fraud plus retail don't like their fee structure

Cheers remember it's your hard earned money don't let it go

ps if you are sent an item from another company other than the one you purchased from don't except the parcel  it is more than likely rubbish and just a way of finalising postal tracking

I’ve been waiting for a “ case specialist” to get back to me since yesterday. Mind you first time ever using pay pal. Worst experience ever buying something in my life. I’ll probably delete the app after this. My bank is helping me out now I had to get a new debit card and file a report from them for fraud. This is terrible. Thanks for informative information.
