Hello, I had fraudulent charges placed against my PayPal account. There was no record on my Paypal account of these charges. However, money was attempted to be withdrawn from my bank account. My bank stopped these transactions. During my paypal resolution process, it was discovered I have a linked account (not mine) to my primary account. Paypal is asking that I pay off the balances on the fraudulent account (which isn’t mine nor do I have access to - I’ve tried) before lifting the hold on my primary account. So essentially my account is being held hostage by a fraudulent account. Has anyone experienced this and have advice with how to resolve? I’ve lost a significant amount of trust with PayPal and no longer feel safe using their services (15 years of service)
