Ebay scam - How to get my money back?

Bought a tent for a family friend yesterday on Ebay and minutes later received an email that said I bought from a fraudulent account. WTF how does this happen? How do I get my money back...I keep getting bounced around between EBay and Paypal. Beyond frustrating. Tried calling PayPal and the system hung up on me. Can't find a place to email either company.
I Will Never Buy On EBay Again. Ugh

What does it say next to the transaction in your paypal account?

1. Completed.

2. Unclaimed.

3. Unclaimed with a cancel option.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Are you looking in your Ebay account or your Paypal account?

Did you send the payment via Ebays checkout or directly via Paypal?

Looking in Paypal account.
Payment through Ebay via Paypal.

It's already cleared through my bank so now this is gonna be a real process.
EBay sucks. I'll never use is again.
Paypal - same company - isn't any better.

If you know a customer has been scammed through your website it should be pretty cut and dry. But it's not and they really don't seem to give two sh*^%

@kernowlass my apologies to you if you thought that i was somehow upset with you. that was never the case. I should've thank you for trying to help. I didn't. My bad.
It appears that somewhere in the chain of things the money is being refunded. Thank you for your time.
But really EBay and PayPal need to figure out a cleaner way of doing this. Kicking people back and forth and between the 2 sites is frustratingly stupid and very unprofessional in this day and age of internet business.
