Ebay Buyer Return Request/ Claims Item Not Authentic

I'm a new seller on ebay. I just sold my first item, but once the buyer received the item they contacted me and told me that after watching youtube and looking at other listings on ebay that their item was a fake and has requested a refund. Now this shocked me because to the best of my knowledge the item i sold was authentic and sold for over a $1000. Being this is my first sale i contacted ebay about how i should handle it and was told to either decline or to offer a partial payment. Now i wasn't to keen on their answers to what would happen after if i chose either of those options. So i don't know where to go from here. so any advice on this would be awesome thanks.
