Disputing a report made re. Unauthorised Activity

Hi,

I have a question regarding a purchase made on my account. The purchase was made by a Mr Joe Johnson, living in Maryland USA, for a piece fo clothing from 'Fear of God' brand. I didn't authorise the payment. I am living in Australia, and therefore wouldn't have anything sent to an American address.

I have reported the case to PayPal, but they have deemed it not unauthorised! I am unsure of how to fix this problem, as I would very much like my money back.

Thanks for your help!

if you were hacked......

Click on the transaction in your paypal account and use the 'report a problem' link at the bottom to report it as unauthorised if that is what it was.

An unauthorised transaction means that your Paypal account was hacked and used without your consent.
If Paypal check IP addresses / devices etc and find that it was hacked then yes you should receive your refund.

However if they think the unauthorised transaction was because you answered a spoof email and gave away your log in details OR you had a virus on your computer (just examples there are others) or were in any way responsible they would deny your claim.

That would be between you and paypal to sort out.

I hope you changed your password and security questions?
I hope you ran a virus scan on your computer?
I would also be telling my card issuers and bank accounts company that the account was hacked so that they can keep an eye on your account OR remove the financial info involved until things are sorted.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
