Hi I paid for an item to be sent to me via friends and family But I’ve not received the item from a seller on marketplace Facebook And can not see anyway to escalate to  a claim for a refund Have I lost my money (I’d wasn’t much but that’s not the principle)

Yeah, if you paid via friends and family for goods and services there is refunds nor does it have purchase protection. Its considered a gift payment.
