Does anyone know why it takes so long to resolve a dispute? Almost £200 has been taken in a transaction and I haven't a clue what for and I'm still waiting and it's been well over a week now. If this was fraud it would have been investigated immediately

Hi dhayesmacleod,
Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!
When you first open a dispute, the seller is notified and asked to contact you directly to resolve the issue. During this time PayPal do not intervene in the Buyer-Seller conversation. If you are unable to resolve the issue with the seller, you can escalate the dispute to a PayPal claim. You have 20 days from the date you filed the dispute to escalate the case to PayPal. Once this is done, we will take over communication with the buyer in order to resolve the issue.
