Dispute closed in sellers favour

I recently made a dispute against a seller who sold me several designer bags which had major defects. PayPal instructed me to return (UK to AUS) which I have done and during this time that the items are in transit, the case has been closed in the sellers favour. I received an initial tracking from the courier which only showed it going to their depot, I was then provided another one showing the journey to AUS however, PayPal would not let me add more information. I assume that the first tracking did not provide enough information so it has been closed however, they didn’t allow me to add more information and the items are still in transit (awaiting for receiver to pay duty). I need to appeal this as this payment is close to £1000 and now I will lose out on the items and the refund, please help
