Hi,  I am in dispute with a person - company don't know which, I opened a PayPal resolution dispute and after 4 months of no contact, these people wrote and asked me to close my dispute claim with PayPal and they would pay the money owing into my bank.

I wrote back and said you pay then I'll contact PayPal and close the dispute claim, they wrote back the next day and pleaded with me to close the claim. But I didn't and wouldn't until they paid me.  I have not heard back from them. Did I take the right action??

Thanks everso much in advance for any help

If you had to close a case to get a refund then it would be pointless opening one.
NEVER close a dispute / claim until you have a refund.
If the seller issued a refund then that would close the dispute automatically.
If he doesn't escalate to a claim.
Do not close it or he can ignore you and you can't open a second dispute OR re-open a closed one.
