Delivered a Package Locally, Buyer claims it was an unauthorized purchase

So now Paypal charged back the $300 purchased on my pair of sneakers and I delivered my sneakers in person. The only proof I gave was that I made the person sign a piece of paper saying they received the item. Since it was a local delivery it means I am out $300. But, I am not the criminal here, what do I do?

You should never use paypal for an item that is to be collected or personally delivered as you have 0 seller protection.

Your buyer can collect the item and then file a dispute for non receipt of item. As you would have no tracking number to prove delivery of the item to him then you would lose the dispute.

You should request cash on collection and that way you would have cash in hand / no wait / no fee / no risk of a dispute.
