I bought a PC from China and wasn't happy with its performance. After getting nowhere with the supplier, Banggood, I raised a dispute with my credit card company, not Paypal. I gave up negotiating a return with the supplier and settled on a USD75 refund from them. They emailed me to close the case and they will refund. I was somewhat perplexed as although I had bought using Paypal I had raised the matter with my credit card company. Sure enough, there was a Paypal dispute opened telling me I needed to discuss it with my credit card supplier and get them to close it. Credit card company's response was that I have to close it, but I can't. What do I do?
I have the email trail of the supplier agreeing to a refund but Paypal will be unaware of this. So, even I manage to close the case I suspect I won't see the refund.
