I purchased three brand name sunglasses from an online store. The store looked real. Received counterfeit goods that do not match the pictures on the store. Dispute resolved by PayPal in store favor because the goods cannot be returned. The return address given is unintelligible Chinese. The brand confirmed that the company is unauthorized and selling counterfeit goods. Now what do you do? PayPal automated report does not resolve this fairly. The company store was taken down and the Chinese business person in Northern California stopped correspondence. I heard that this is a normal fraudulent way that some are doing business.
My neighbor ordered brand name ear rings online and got a counterfeit necklace. Could not return item to China, although the business and webstore are based in California. It is a loophole that is being used.
