Counterfeit board game sales on PayPal are ok apparently.

So i bought 3 board games from a UK website.  Turns out they were delivered from China.

They came damaged and with parts missing and the quality was obviously different to a legit copy.

I opened a case......the seller even admitted (For paypal to see) that the item was of "lower quality".

I turned down the sellers small partial refund and expected PayPal to help me.

So the "resolution" is that i have to send these games back to China (It will cost around £40.....so basically ill be paying £25, as PayPal gives me £15).

Basically someone can commit fraud on PayPal and i have to stump up £25 cash and all the hassle and time to return the items.

This is totally mental.

Which is what paypal tell you if you read the small section on buyer protection.

Paypal state this >>
IMPORTANT: You may be required to return the item to the seller or other party we specify as part of the settlement of your claim. PayPal Buyer Protection does not entitle you to reimbursement for the return shipping costs that you may incur.

Although they will compensate you for some of the cost if you have activated this at some point before you made that transaction.

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.
