Claim resolution

I created a claim after I hadn’t received my package in the time frame promised and the tracking number was invalid. Additionally, my original contact blocked messenger. I emailed the company but hadn’t heard back and wanted to CYA! They responded to the email stating I would be getting my product Monday and that I needed to delete my claim on PayPal. I responded that I wouldn’t until I received my package. They claim that if I don’t delete it I won’t get it but have also stated they already mailed it and that I can open another claim if I don’t get it Monday. Is that accurate? Everything I see states I can’t reopen a claim once I close it.

If you had to close a case to get a refund then it would be pointless opening one.
NEVER close a dispute / claim until you have a refund.
If the seller issued a refund then that would close the dispute automatically.
If he doesn't escalate to a claim.
Do not close it or he can ignore you and you can't open a second dispute OR re-open a closed one.
