Changing ownership

My daughter made this PayPal account underage, I now have the credentials and ownership of this account. I will be taking the role as the primary account holder. The account, obviously is under a limitation so the funds are locked and you have to "accept the money" in the account before using it. So I have to put in my ssn, photo id, and address documents. How do I change the information associated with the account? Right now, her name is attached.

You can't change the name on a personal account from one person to another.

If its an illegally opened underage account then nothing can change that and I would certainly not be adding any of your details to the account or you may never be able to open one of your own (as you are only allowed x1 personal paypal account per person).

There is no such thing as a student account so you can't 'takeover' a minors account.

SHOW YOUR DAUGHTER THIS INFO......

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.

PayPal asks for a birth date when you register so whilst you can make a PayPal account with false information the account will need to be verified to accept funds into your balance or lift any limits.

As you would be unable to verify your account it would be permanently locked for further use.
Minors can’t enter legal contracts so you may not have any recourse to get your money back until you were 18, unless customer services allow you to transfer the funds to a parents account, not guaranteed however.

You would never be able to use that illegally opened underage account again but once 18 Paypal may allow you to do a withdrawal of funds from that account.

OR they may allow you to open a new account and transfer the funds across for you. The latter option is not guaranteed as you have already broken their rules once but you should get one of those options.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
