Case closed: Transaction not covered

I filed a request for a refund after finding they £40 had been taken out of my bank account via PayPal. I had never made this purchase and only found out because I checked my bank account. I also checked eBay and it said there was suspected u unorthrised use of my account. There is no purchase history evidence of this purchase and it was 100% not me who made it. The only reason I got for the denial via PayPal was very vague and rather useless: "Thank you for reporting this case. After reviewing your case, we found that this transaction was not unauthorised and therefore isn't eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection." Nobody else has access to my PayPal and so it couldn't be anyone I knew, again this was 100% unorthrised. I am at a loss of what to do, which isn't helped by the lack of reason from PayPal as to why it was denied.

PayPal simply didn't find anything that was consistent with a breach of your account. They check both sending and receiving accounts' histories, IP address, device, log-in logs, and other factors etc.

You can have them review it again. Please contact customer service:

Click HELP on top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US.

Say "Live Agent" to the automated recording.
