Can't Access Funds Because Of Lost Receipt

After making a sale on eBay and being notified by email that my funds were available, I checked my account only see no funds there. Some investigating lead me to the conclusion that my account was under hold because of suspicious activity. To lift this hold I would have to submit the receipt for the item I sold. But I, like most people who have had something for years, don't have the receipt. What do I do to access my funds?

Forgot to mention that I've emailed eBay, called and tweeted PayPal -- no one's been able to help.

I suggest creating a Word Doc or pdf explaining why you do not have the requested information. Once you have created this, you should be able to upload it to resolve this step. It is not guaranteed that it will be accepted, but providing this will allow the step to be resolved and once all steps have been completed, the account will move into review.
