Buyer stole my maples.

I sell Japanese Maples. This summer a ebayer bought two of my maples online. He said he lived only an hour away and wanted to pick them up at the nursery to avoid the shipping fee. I said great go ahead and pay ebay for the maples and then you can pick them up Sunday afternoon and I gave him my information. He came and picked up the maples as planned. Three months later I receive a notice from PayPal that he is disputing the $62 charge as he said he did not authorize it. Because he picked up my maples I did not user a shipper and there wasn't any proof of delivery.

He got his money back - he stole my maples. How can I trust anyone else who wants to visit my nursery and pick up their maples?

Sharpie - Thanks for the information - is is a big help. Now when an ebay customer wants to pick up a maple I will collect the money at the nursery and have them sign a receipt. You are the best!
