Buyer Protection

Hi - how do I know if a transaction qualifies for buyer protection? I was trying to purchase something off facebook marketplace and the seller asked that they I use paypal instead. They issued me an invoice through paypal, but if its a scam, will paypal reimburse me or say this is not a qualified purchase?

As long as you do not pay using the friends/family option then you have buyer protection.

However that protection is not a 100% coverall and has limitations.

So your best bet is to read up on it and risk assess your transaction.

Be very careful, lots of ongoing scams via social media sites.
