Bleeped...With no lube. (Limitations, for NO reason)

Hello..!

I listed two devices, on eBay, due to being short on funds..Well, they sold...and Lo and  behold...I got hit with a limitation to my account.

I called in, got a rather rude rep, argued with him bit, after trying to explain my hard copy of my ID was lost..and that I didn't have invoices, since I purchased BOTH devices from a relative after he upgraded..I also tried giving him the tracking number to add on his end manually...after getting nowhere I then hung up. I went to docs office, got a copy printed out, and uploaded it...I then called, talked to another rep who told me to just write a note explaining WHY I didn't have invoices, and to upload it. I did so, while the rep was still on the phone, she looked at everything that I uploaded, and told me it was FINE--- I also asked her to note on the account, that in the resolution section, it would NOT allow me to manually enter my tracking information, for some odd reason..

I was then told that it would be reviewed within 24-48 hours.. that time exceeded, so I called in. again..

The rep that I got that time. told me she couldn't really help me, so she said she would transfer me to someone in the reviews department, I was then transferred over to some other lady-- I explained the whole situation-- about manually entering tracking, and everything... and she told me that if I could get the second order shipped, and it showed en route, that I would be restored, to just call in.

so I scraped up a bit of cash from someone I know, and I went and shipped. I called in as advised, and was then hit with..it had to be DELIVERED first...OK. No biggie..I uploaded shipping for both orders on the DAY(s) that I shipped them..in the summary/activity section..It didn't give me trouble there..

Item was delayed that Thursday, when it was supposed to be delivered, but it made it to its destination THAT Friday..I called in again, and I'm told by some other lady that my account would be restored by the end of THAT day...but, NO dice.  So, I place another call...get a different rep, then I'm told that it'll be that Saturday, no later than this past Sunday...

Again, no dice...So, I finally click the second option that says shipping isn't important to my business...It changed to 'completed.'...JUST like my ID.

Come Monday around 12:00...I'm hit with an "Appeal denied." email..

I call in again, and I'm told that it was because they cross linked my account to another one-- of some person that I don't even bloody know...Like, I literally do NOT know this person, AT all...So, the rep puts in a ticket, saying they'll investigate..*Which is NO good to me, considering they will do what they want and come to whatever conclusion that they want to...*

I call in again today, and NOW I'm being told that-- its because of my photo ID..which I was told numerous of times, was FINE, not one rep EVER complained about it, or told me I couldn't use it! Not ONE..

and he also said he'd add notes to the case/account...

So, basically--- I've been told a bunch of lies, on top of lies, have had to deal with crappy representatives, that really shouldn't be dealing in customer service..wrongfully limited, and treated like a criminal... ALL while complying with what they've asked me.

I don't really care about them closing the account, or whatever it is they'll do...I had already decided that they were shady, and full of sh*t..and that I would no longer be utilizing their "services".. I just want my funds from the account, the funds that I rightfully and honestly earned..and I refuse to wait a 180 days..

Saying that they are lying is just dumb, I'm sorry. It's as if you think they have it written in their employee handbook that they should flat out lie to people. Come on, be real.

The fact of the matter here is you cannot produce a valid ID. That's it. Nothing else here means anything. When you can't produce an actual ID (not a piece of paper) that looks fishy. Then you start in with "oh I can't get it right now because of blah blah blah" that's just not going to work.

Get an ID. Provide the ID. Problem solved.

Whatever the long story is, it all boils down to the fact that they are requesting an ID from you that you are not providing. That is not going to help your situation. Provide what they ask and the problem will be solved. If you don't have an ID, figure out how to get that problem fixed first, then provide it to PayPal and you'll be set.

Again, I went to doc's office and had them print out a copy, and provided that. Which, I was told was fine.. All my money is tied up with them, so I can't go get another one. Point is, miss volunteer advisor, PayPal is full of it..and they take comfort in lying to their consumers. Also, if that's all you took away from my post, then you needn't reply..especially since you aren't being helpful.

You will have to wait 180 days.

If you don't provide the info then your account will stay limited and you won't be able to close it.

However if you are as rude to customer services as you are to folks that respond to your post to 'try' and help then I am not surprised they are not falling over backwards to help you.

I will forward them this thread   Smiley Wink

Hmm..

That's the thing, I gave them a form of ID, a copy from docs, but still a form of ID, no less. Which, you nor the first replier seem to be acknowledging.

I even asked the second representative questions, and she said it was fine. Since the first one was more interested in taking up rude tones, and arguing with me..

Actually, every rep I talked to after that eluded to the fact that everything given was fine...After I got the email, I even asked if giving them my relatives contact info, address, etc was necessary.

And, while I don't expect them to bend over backwards for me, I do however expect not to be given misinformation repeatedly..especially, given how many reps I had to talk to. I also didn't expect to be lied to somuch, and so often....I can't even get a straight forward, and solid answer as to the why..So, excuse me for being a little miffed.

Also, I'm not being rude to anyone, not at all.

You, on the other hand, are being quite rude though..

But, do feel free to forward the thread, love..It won't make or break an already messy situation, now will it??  Smiley Wink

Still--Thanks for your reply, Smiley Happy .

It sounds to me like you told people that you provided ID without cluing them in on the fact that it was a copy, so that's why they said you would be fine. Then when somebody actually saw what it was they denied you. A copy is not an ID.

Put yourself in their shoes. Let's say you process billions of dollars every year, and you have to deal with billions in fraud as well. As such, you put procedures in place to help verify people and funds before letting all this cash flow through the system, and this is proving helpful to fight fraud.

Then you get some person that calls you up claiming that you suck, you lie, and that you need to accept whatever piece of paper they give you regardless of whether it's official or not. How would you react?

I think he won't have a lot of luck with them now to be honest.

No ma'am~

I actually DID clue them in to it being a copy, so there's that assumption of me supposedly not mentioning it, eh?

I'M also going to assume, that they were also able to see everything I provided, given that the representatives I talked to were all in limitations..

I can understand the need for security, especially with things that may be going on in the virtual world..with money, Identity and what have you.

I just wish they would've done it sooner, say-- like, when I had a hard copy a couple weeks ago.

I made BOTH sells through eBay, and uploaded tracking in the summary section of paypal the DAY I shipped...First person has had their item for WELL over a week..NO complaints, and second person even left positive feedback. So, there was no problem verifying the funds, where they came from, or what they were for..especially since they have item numbers from eBay and such.

And,  you're yet again missing my point...It isn't that they asked for documents, as I've narrated..I complied..I NEVER once said I had a problem with them asking for anything, nowhere in either post...however, I DO take issue with being told lies...REPEATEDLY * I mean, they actually do lie....It's great that you're a partner and all..and want to protect your partners reputation..but let's not try to toss a newspaper into a flood like its a  rain puddle..* but, I guess vocally hearing the lies being uttered, doesn't actually count as lying, huh?  Gotcha.

I also never made any kinds of demands of them--AT all... and I was polite EACH time I called in..I simply turned in what I had, and what I was told was acceptable..So, there goes your other assumption ma'am...

Thanks for your reply...

Dumb? Recounting the occurances of the numerous times I was lied to about my account is dumb?

Oh...That's good to know..

Well, your logic is a bit daft..wouldn't you say?

And, while I'm sure it's not in their employee handbook, I'm also sure there's something in there advising potentially/already employed representatives to not lie to consumers..

The fact that you're not even acknowledging the fact that I was lied to repeatedly, in order to defend the business so adamantly says alot about you.

Anyways, I'll just consider this matter solved, I grow tired of going backwards and forth with argumentative help advisors.
