Help, I bought something from a well known retailer which didn’t suit so sent them back. I have track and trace showing they received items July 1st still no refund. Contacted them twice on their online page and no answer so opened a dispute. They’ve now come back and asked me to close the claim as they’ve put a note to give my refund on my account but the claim is stopping it. However if I close my claim I’m worried I won’t get my refund and then can’t claim again. Should I chance it or just straight up escalate to dispute - I have told them PayPal says not to close claim until refund received but now no reply.

If you had to close a case to get a refund then it would be pointless opening one.
NEVER close a dispute / claim until you have a refund.
If the seller issued a refund then that would close the dispute automatically.
If he doesn't escalate to a claim.
Do not close it or he can ignore you and you can't open a second dispute OR re-open a closed one.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
