I opened an account with a made up name several years ago. Now Someone sent money to my phone number , and I just signed in with my email address and forgot I made that account . So I’m signed into my account but my name doesn’t math. I’ve sent them all of my real info (dl, Ssn , passport )and they keep telling me that it doesn’t match and I’d have to close the account . I’m fine with doing that but the account is restricted so it doesn’t let me . How can I close this account and get the fee dollars that was sent to me?
Sadly nothing you can do, any documents you send must confirm the name on your paypal account is your legal name OR has been legally changed to that name.
As you can't then the funds belong to someone with that name who can prove its their name with said documents.
