I listed guns for sale on a website. Attached is a screen shot showing all of the website acceptable payment methods. Please notice that there is a PayPal option on the website screen above. When I listed guns for sale, I checked the PayPal box completely unaware that accepting PayPal payment for a gun was not in compliance with the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy. Guns were purchased by several buyers who chose to pay me with PayPal. On Sep 8, 2020 PayPal without warning or discussion shut my account down. PayPal locked my account and is now holding approximately $2100 hostage for up to 180 days (6 months). My question for the Community is: Should PayPal have warned me that I was non-compliant so t hat I could have removed the PayPal payment option from the website before locking my PayPal account?
