ACCOUNT LIMITATION

Hi, I'm always getting this notification on my paypal account about "Account limitation" and I need to confirm my identity on the dashboard. However, it's done 2 months ago, I've sent out proof of identity & address.

Also, I keep reading this message when I clicked on Dashboard "Thank you for providing the required information. We’ll get back to you within 2-3 business days."

Please have this check on my paypal account, I'm having trouble on those new features that are not functioning well. I have called the Customer Service hotline but after listening to those pre-recorded messages and about to tranfer to a Live Specialist but it Hung-Up's automatically. So, I was unable to connect with an agent to speak with. Kindly fixed this as soon as possible. Thank you.

In general, if your account is limited and you have provided all the requested information to your Resolution Centre, the relevant department should review what you submitted within 72 hours. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the impact of the restriction on the account. 

 

If 72 hours have already passed, I would recommend checking your email address for any communication or request from the relevant team. If you have provided what requested but the limitation is still in place, there may be some information missing. to have more specific details on the status of the limitation, please contact our Customer Service directly. 

 

If you cannot reach out to them over the phone, you can send a message to your Message Centre which you can reach by clicking on 'Help & Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal webpage. You can also contact us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/PayPalUK) or on Twitter (@AskPayPal).

Why can't you just give people access to their own money? Seems like a scam to me. Out of the blue an account in credit gets frozen and I am made to go around and around in circles trying to get it unfrozen. Why can't you have a customer service contact number so I can resolve this? I feel so frustrated and ripped off!

I've provided the required information enough times to supply every foreign hacker with my life story.  I've received a couple worthless emails but nothing of any substance.  Every time I log in, it's a different story.  Change password (twice), confirm card (3 times), upload a bill (did that), upload your ID (3 times and different ones).  After clicking around, I stumbled on to a customer service phone numbers.  I used the one time code and finally thought I'd found the answer.  The phone rang about nine times and then hung up with no message.  Monday, 4:50pm, not midnight on a weekend.  The charity I'm trying to send money to only uses PayPal.  Sad.

I'm way past the 72 hours.  I've supplied everything and all check marks are green.  They've been green for a long time.  I see a message that says there's suspicious activity but maybe because I tried sending some money while the limitations were in place.  After all, the site let me try before telling me there was a problem.  That's been over three weeks now.  I've left message after message with very few responses.  The few responses I've received (at least I know you have my email) just say things are being reviewed.  I find myself in the position of having to use PayPal now or I would just go some place else.  It would be really great if someone from this company would contact me to get this straightened out.  I appreciate the security being assigned my account but not being able to get things fixed reasonably quickly doesn't seem right for a Tech company.

Also, I use a VPN (although not right now), is that **bleep** things up?

This happens also to me 2 months now and they don’t do nothing. Even in the help messages they don’t help at all. I want to take my money away and I can’t !!!

I have got same problem... I have got limitations, upload and update my all personal inormations, upload national identity card and address card photo  and paypal sad:

I wait 3 weeks and nothing happened. I want, paypal accept my documents, apply my account and I want to take my money.

I am having a similar issue to many with limitation to my account. It says it needs proof of identify which I provided weeks ago. 

The page says 2-3 business days, and a representative said 10-14 day, and another told me they don't have access to that information. I have to get in contact with someone and they say that they do not accept messages from customers. In the 3 conversation I have had representative bluntly ignore my questions, and typically reply with something like "I am unsure so, I can not provide that information to you." Then they send me an email saying they may close my account permanently and the told me if that happens i can always make payment to paypal credit via a phone number they gave me. 

Another representative told me "if you wish you can speak to my manager who will tell you the exact same thing." I really don't mean to complain as much I am, but I don't understand why is going on or why they are ignoring all my questions.  This the worst customer support I have ever had, and I just don't even know what to do since they have told me I have to just wait an undefined amount of time.  

Any suggestions?
