I just wanted to warn members of yet another scam. I received a phone call on my land line today from a gentleman with an Indian accent who knew my name telling me that my Paypal account was going to be suspended due to a suspicious transaction for $120 in favour of a name I did not recognise. He asked me if I had made the transaction and if I knew the person named. I said no. He then asked if I accessed my Paypal using my mobile phone or my computer. I was not willing to continue the conversation and hung up. But just before I did terminate the conversation he was saying that if I wanted to stop the transaction I should go to my Paypal account immediately and cancel it.
I have waited for a period of time before accessing my Paypal account and there are no transactions that I do not recognise. So obviously this person was trying to get me to log on and then take control of my account.
Has anyone else had this experience or am I just lucky?
