A DISPUTE OPEN BY BUYER AFTER 4 MONTHS FOR THE ITEM SOLD ON EBAY VIA PAYPAL

Hello,

 

I want to share a issue here. We sold few pieces of necklace to the buyer in Dec 2017. After four months buyer raised dispute stating that she used the necklace after four months and the day she wear it was broken and all beads came out on floor. She immediately came on PayPal raised dispute for refunds with shipping cost. We sent her a message that ship the broken product back to us we will ship new piece as replacement. After 4 months we do not covered any guarantee. Still due to cutesy we offer her solution to problem. How can paypal proves that she has not used the necklace for four months? She has wear it for first time? How can paypal justify this? When paypal has provided 90 days deadline for all complaint how do they allow buyers to open dispute and block our hard earn money anytime? Who has authorized them to do that? The necklace was broken due the the poor handling and negligence of customer why seller money is blocked? After four months?

It is not fair at all.
