On 15th May 2020 we were notified our account was being permanently limited, we are a genuine business of 20 years with 40 staff and a 12m turnover. No idea why the above happened but we did ask and received .... No response. Over the course of the past 178 days (as of today) I've sent PayPal 12 seperate messages and received literally not a single response. When I called a few months back it took close to 2 hours to speak to someone at which point I was cut off. I am told after the 180 days I should receive an email enabling me to withdraw the funds within the account, but having had (and I mean literally) not one response to my 12 queries I don't hold much hope. How can this even be legal? Should I expect to receive my funds in a few days when the 180 has elapsed? Is it an automatic process? Thanks

Having read many similar issues on this forum, I see PayPal staff respond simply saying contact support. I do hope they don't do the same here, bearing in mind having tried to do so for half a year I have been ignored point blank, so what is the point.

They don't respond to banned accounts only email normally if and when you can withdraw the funds.
If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal holds any funds for 180 days as that is the same time frame that buyers have to open paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened against you in 180 days then 'normally' you are allowed to withdraw the funds as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

Your best bet is to wait until the phones are back up and running and then phone customer services so that you can speak to an agent.
Then they can help advise on how you can withdraw the funds if and when you are allowed to do so. OR ........

Live chat is randomly available.
You can send them a message.
Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
