Hi There, I have a subscription and no one is clicking to go back to the website to access a course. How do I fix this? I have tried Zapier and this doesnt work. Can I customize the payment recipet or add a post purchase note?

Hey @myishat!

If you're talking about a checkout process, you can integrate a URL into your checkout that will redirect PayPal customers that checkout with their PayPal accounts back to the course. For non-PayPal customers, the link to head back will show up, but it relies on them clicking it to redirect them. Regrettably, there's no way to add any kind of note or text into the checkout that shows up after it's been completed - this can't be edited at this time. The only option at that point would be to email them the link to access the course after they check out.

Hope this helps! 🙂

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that it still isn't working. 😞

For the non-PayPal customers, they're required to click - it's not something that can be edited or changed with the checkout to take them back. If the redirect isn't working, I would advise having the developer check the coding, and if everything looks correct, there may be an issue with the whole setup of the button or checkout. If that's the case, the whole button or checkout proess would need to be deleted and re-created.

As a last resort, if neither of those options resolve the problem, I would advise reaching out to us on our Merchant Integration Technical Support Community so that we can take a closer look at this. Thanks!

My paypal payment has been pending for more than 3 days now, and I have screenshot proof that my items have been sold. What is taking so long?

Hi @TheGodlyGoose!

Thank you for stopping by our Chat! I'm sorry to hear that there's been some trouble with a payment received. 😞

Payments may show as "Pending" for different reasons. If you click on the transaction in your PayPal account to view the details, is there anything specific you see that needs to be done to accept the payment or are there any details showing about the payment status?

Thanks for getting back to me, @TheGodlyGoose

For security purposes, we wouldn't be able to provide account specific details through the Community Forums. I'll be happy to provide you with some general info on different reasons why a recieved payment may be pending.

These are the most common reasons for why a payment may be pending. If none of these apply to your sale, then you may want to reach out to customer support for further information. @customer support can be reached by clicking "Help & Contact" on the PayPal website, @AskPayPal on Twitter or the PayPal Facebook page.

That might be the case, how long will it be pending?

@TheGodlyGoose

Great question. 🙂

If the buyer sent an eCheck, the payment may take either 3-4 business days or 5-7 business days to clear, depending on where the buyer is located. If the buyer had sent an eCheck, you would see an expected clearing date in the transaction details as well as a notification not to ship until the payment has cleared.

If you're new to selling on PayPal or eBay or if your buyers have reported issues with previous sales, the funds would be on hold for up to 21 days. The funds can be released sooner if you follow these guidelines:

  • If the order requires shipping, send it to the buyer’s shipping address and be sure to mark the item as shipped. When we know that the buyer has received it and is happy with the item, we’ll release the payment within seven days. OR
  • Ship directly using USPS, UPS, or FedEx, or pay for shipping and print labels on PayPal. You can upload shipping information to PayPal and we will automatically verify the delivery. Once we know that the item was delivered, we’ll release the payment within three days. OR
  • If your product or service does not need to be shipped, mark the order as processed. We’ll calculate the expected delivery date and release the payment within seven days of that date.

If you need to verify your PayPal account to accept the payment, you would need to follow the steps in the link provided above to get Verified. Once Verification is completed, you would be able to view a button to accept the payment. Payments pended due to a non-verified status will show as pending for up to 30 days before being returned to the buyer.

I hope this helps!
