Hi everybody!

 

This week's USA Community Chat is now open and unlocked! 

 

Our moderator staff will be available for the next hour to answer your questions about PayPal. We do ask that posts follow the PayPal Community Help Forum Policy and the Forum Guidelines.

 Hi,

 

I kept adding a bank account for a week now and I am getting the same error every time. The error is below:

We were unable to process your bank account registration at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again at a later date.

....
 
I don't know why I still cannot add another bank account linked to my PayPal account. I've already deleted my primary bank account and I still cannot ADD another one. The Bank information I am adding is still from the same bank nad branch.
 
I've emailed cusotmer support but I only get one response. Though the email says that if I have questions I can reply to it, it's been weeks and still have no reply.
 
Hope to shed light unto how I can add the new bank to my account.

Hi @MrWilson363,

 

That must be frustrating! I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to add your bank. It sounds like the system is declining to allow that bank account to be added. It could be that the bank is declining the addition, or it may be that the system is declining it for risk reasons. Typically, when this occurs, the suggestion would be to wait a day and try it again, but if you have done so already, the one last thing that I would suggest would be to call customer service on the phone and see if a representative can assist with getting it added. They can do some real-time troubleshooting. 

 

To call customer service, click Help&Contact at the bottom of any PayPal page, then Contact Customer Service, then Call us. 

 

I hope that does the trick!

Thanks for the speedy reply.

 

 

It was in my mind and was just exploring other options because I currently reside outside of the US and the phone rates might come to bite me after the call. I guess it is inevitable.

 

Yes, indeed it was frustrating. I was consistently trying to add it for a week on a daily basis before the holidays and kept on getting the same error message. The emailing did not help either.

 

Will do drop support a call.

I have received some checks to my paypal account, but forgot I closed the bank account. Ive tried using my brother's checking and it doesnt work. How can I access the money/transfer it. I have no checking account at the moment.

Thanks for stopping by the PayPal Community Chat! Great question about withdrawing funds.

 

If you receive money in your PayPal account balance and you are a US account holder, you may withdraw money to a checking or savings account, to a debit card or you may request a check

 

For security purposes, we would not recommend adding someone else's financial information to your PayPal account.

It keeps refunding the money each time I try to transfer. Is there a limit to the amount you can transfer?

Thanks for getting back to me, @Chameleon00! I'm sorry to hear that your withdrawal attempts aren't going through. 😞

 

When a PayPal account is created there is a monthly withdrawal limit of $1,000.00 USD per month. The start of a month is determined by when the PayPal account was opened (for example, May 15 to June 15). To lift a withdrawal limit, follow these steps

 

If the amount you're requesting is below the limit amount or if you've already followed the steps provided to lift the withdrawal limit, can you please tell me which method you're using to try to withdraw funds? Can you also tell me if you see any specific errors when you try to withdraw the money?
