Happy Election Day!

Hmm, silly poll...  I can't recall participating in a silly poll or survey.  Wait, I did participate in a Nielsen survey once.  It was pretty silly because I had to record the times at which I watched TV, even though I use a DVR.  I felt silly then because I wanted my choices to count for ratings so I stopped using my DVR at the time and watched shows live.  I'm sure Nielsen surveys have probably changed to account for DVRs but back then it was a pretty weird experience.

I'm trying to downgrade my account from Pro to Advanced. I've gone through the appropriate process which ends up with me submitting  a webform email. I just recieved the reponse and  was told that in order to do this I needed to close my current account, open a new one and apply for PayPal Advanced in the new account.

It can't really be this hard unless paypal is purposely making it hard to discourage downgrades. I'm hoping someone has been through this process. Thanks for your help.

With some versions of our Website Payments Pro product there are technical difficulties when downgrading from a Pro account to an Advanced account. From the sounds of it, this is what's going on with your PayPal account. 

We apologize for the frustrations with you not being able to downgrade your account. Our engineers are working to resolve the technical issues, but at this time the work around is to set up a new PayPal account. Unfortunately there has not been a time frame for this to be resolved. Our Sales Team would be happy to assist you with setting up a new PayPal account and ensure you get set up with desired Advanced account. Here is the direct link to contact the Sales Team directly.

I'm assuming this was pre-Firefly, right? If you were instrumental in the cancellation of Firefly, we're no longer on speaking terms, buddy!

The most frivolous "voting" I can remember was when I was a kid and we were at the beach and I was invited to do the Pepsi Challenge. I totally could taste the difference, too. I purposefully chose the other brand to be contrary. 🙂

Hi.

I came with a purpose in mind, but now I'm reflecting upon the fact that I don't get asked to participate in many polls. This proves a) why poll data don't well reflect the opinions I hold, and b) that my opinion isn't worth a hill o' beans to consensus takers.

Come to think of it; I did notice a Yahoo poll, conducted this morning, that I found a bit bizarre. They were asking who would win today's Presidential election. 'Strange, considering that the entire U.S. of A. is conducting just such a poll today, with a better sample base. How many people are going to tune in to find out how Yahoo's poll split the balance?

You make good points.  Polls about polls.  Maybe there is a poll about the expected results of the Yahoo poll?
