This week's Community Chat is now open and unlocked!
Our moderator staff will be available for the next hour to answer your questions about PayPal, get to know you, or just have idle conversation. We do ask that posts follow the PayPal Community Help Forum Policy and the Forum Guidelines.
Once the session is over, this thread will be locked again, but you will be able to view the content in the forums. This chat is a regular feature every Wednesday from 4-5 PM CST, so if you missed us this week, please feel free to stop by in the future! We want to get to know you!
To start off today, tell us about a talent you have. Can you paint? Are you a great mechanic? Is public speaking your forte'?

Well - I can not paint. I am not a great mechanic. And I turn all "RED" when I have all eyes on me. So, with that being said - I will have to say my talent would be a Designer. All of my hobbies/side jobs have to do with designing. I am a photographer, web designer, and love to scrap book in my spare time. Oh, and decorate the house.

Ah yes, decorating. I fully admit to being domesticated these days. You'd probably catch me at the local furniture stores and second hand shops looking for some great deals on a weekend.

I say you dodged that one, but I'm game. What musical instrument do you play?
Olivia -
Yes, and I definitely appreciate that. It's always good to have lots of friends!
As for me? Hrm. I'll have to stick with creative writing, as I already have the awards to back that one up.

Piano, trombone, euphonium (like a baby tuba), and a little bass guitar. I also like composing when I get a chance but it's been a while.

I can certainly respect anyone who can play even one instrument, let alone four. For a number of reasons, I'm just not well-suited to the musical arts. Did you teach yourself, or did you learn those in school?

Took piano lessons as a kid, the others I learned in school.

Really? The school I went to, once you picked one instrument, that was it - you had to stick with it. Or quit band!

That's sad. How else are you going to find out what instrument you like, if you don't try a few different ones? 😞

There was an open house every year. It didn't matter much to me anyways; for one, I wasn't a fan of our band teacher (nor was she too fond of me, as far as I could tell). And, I just don't have the fine motor skills needed to play most instruments. Had I been able to do so, I probably would have went with an oboe or a clarinet. Yep, I'm that guy.
